Harmful tags for SEO

According to Search Engine Optimization some tags are considered as harmful tags. Those are : <Frame>, <Frameset>, <Iframe>, Flash and Java script

Frames give pleasant look to the pages. You can have several pages on a single browser with the use of frames. Among several page on a single browser you can set a page as dynamic and another as static. You can set a frame on top for only navigational purpose. Because of frames you can reduce load of the server. Main disadvantage of frame is this is harmful for search engine optimization.

The tags <Frame>, <Frameset> and <Iframe> are same functionality. So, check your website whether this tag is there or not. If it is there then remove it and find alternative way to do that same functionality on your pages. This process can improve your optimization technique.

Flash and Java script for SEO:

 As we discussed previously Flash content and Java script would not be added on search engines like Google, MSN and Yahoo. Most of the search engines are text based and these are called text browsers.

However you can improve your page rank by following tips.

SEO tips for Flash content pages:

     1. Give HTML titles to flash contents. So you can store the titles in the search engines at least.
     2. In a page, have only one flash file. If you have more than one file this will reduce your page rank.
     3. Have small flash file. Having a huge file may take time to load. This will decrease your page rank factors.
     4. Do not have flash files on all your pages. Just have these files 3 or 4 of your pages. Don’t call same file on each and every pages.

SEO tips for Java script added pages:

    1. Add all links also on the bottom of the page which is added on the java script menu.
    2. Remove the java script menu links which are not added on the bottom of your page.

Ajax is a powerful technology which gives immediate result without reloading, server request or resubmit of a page. But the problem is this technology is SEO against. So remove all the Ajax features if you want to optimize a page on search engines.
