Vital Tags

Following tags are called vital tags on Search Engine Optimization technique.
<Title>, <a href>, <H1>, <H2>, <H3>, <H4>, <H5> and <H6>

Title Tags:

Header Tags:

Header tags are so important to emphasis your content. This is used not only for search engines. Reader of your website also understands well for your header tags. Search engines give more importance to the keywords which are placed inside the header tags. When you place keywords inside the header tag, it appears big and bold. So user can be guided properly for your usage of header tags.

Header tags are 6 types. They are

1. H1: Header Level 1
2. H2: Header Level 2
3. H3: Header Level 3
4. H4: Header Level 4
5. H5: Header Level 5
6. H6: Header Level 6

Contents should have a proper header tags. When a keyword on the Title tag placed in a <H1>tag that will be a great factor to increase page rank. Don’t make your pages with only header tags. Proper title, proper <H1> tag and relevant description under the <H1> tag should be there. Otherwise this will be a negative factor on page rank calculation.

Under the <H1> tag we may place remaining header tags with proper opening and closing tags. If we miss relevant closing tags then it will leads to lose your page rank.

Using at least one header tag per page is a good practice. If you use H1 tag, it may affect your page designing because the width of an H1 tag is so large. In this time you can use H2 or H3 tags.

If your page is already designed and you don’t want to increase or decrease any texts, then you can handle this situation by implementing Size tag. Using this size tag you can make small the text which has been given on the header tags.

Using several H1 tag is not wrong. However frequent repetition of H1 tag without giving any text under it, this may be a problem for search engines like Google, yahoo or MSN. If you use multiple H1 tag, give proper explanation text under that tag.
